We were looking for an affordable flat in the city centre, with a double bedroom and some place for me to study. We found our future flat online and knew already before we even visited it, that it was what we were looking for. When we then told Pascal during the visit that we were interested in renting it, everything went super quickly and we signed the contract within a few days. We would definitely recommend BCN-Start to anyone who is looking for an apartment in Barcelona!

We are NYC transplants and came to Barcelona for one week to look for a piso a month before our permanent move. Happily we met with Aodhan and told him what we were looking for. He gave us the real picture of what we could expect as far as available properties and helped us to manage our expectations for price range. He also helped us to understand how the market here differs from NYC, most importantly how different negotiations are conducted… especially how not to be deterred by the fact that owners don’t make “fast deals” here even if they loose money.
The bottom line is that Aodhan got us a viewing of the loft we really wanted in the short amount of time we had, helped us to secure the deal and we are living here now. His support also doesn’t end there, he set up our internet, was/is available at anytime to give us support for all of our questions, including recommendations in and around the city for all of our interests and needs.
I would say BCNstart is full service and we highly recommend them!

Bcnstart were incredibly helpful when I first arrived in Barcelona. Moving to a new country where you don’t speak the language or fully understand the culture can be incredibly daunting, but bcn helped make the transition far easier. They were very accommodating in arranging apartment viewings, and worked around my schedule for both the viewings and the signing of the contract. They were always responsive to any question I had, whether it be about the flat search I was undertaking or more general queries about life in the city. Furthermore, the agent was even able to recommend a local physio to me, saving me the time and stress of searching for one. BCN were extremely helpful and professional in everything they did, and I would highly recommended using their services.

After having spent several years travelling and searching for the right place to get settled, I decided to try Barcelona in April 2017. Many people in my close surrounding recommended me the city and that it will be the perfect fit for my profession and passion, which is music. I wouldn’t have imagined it to be so difficult and complicated to get settled and find the right place within my budget. Almost having reached the point of giving up and moving into a shared place, I reached out to bcnstart. Their insight of the city and recommending me the right neighborhood and street which fits my lifestyle was priceless. I was very surprised that one of their team members spoke German, which was a great help in my case. In the end, they have found me the perfect place and made everything around happen very professionally.
I decided to make the move to Barcelona early 2017 as my job at that time offered the flexibility of working remotely. I was hoping to get settled in Barcelona and begin working with startups over there, but the prospect of organising the move was daunting and I was worried I’d move into a part of the city that wouldn’t suit me or get stuck with a bad landlord. The people at BCNStart not only helped me get settled in my new flat, but also gave me an in-depth breakdown of the neighbourhood so I felt like a local in week one! I’m situated one street from my co-working space where I’ve met a lot of new people and good work contacts; close to good gyms and I even have an English-speaking Physiotherapist nearby. I also got good advice about how to get set up with accountants and contracting here. I’ve recently cofounded a new venture with two guys from Barcelona. All in all, the city that initially seemed so big and closed off now seems mucher smaller and more friendly!
Prior to our arrival to Barcelona, we were extensively searching through the web for shared apartments for our time of studies. The flat hunt turned out to be exhausting and stressful – especially since neither one of us could arrange a personal viewing before our arrival since we were all busy working.
However, by coming to Pascal and Aodhan from BCNStart, our worries were taken care of. Pascal arranged for us a viewing of our flat via FaceTime and both were able to help us enormously in the steps of getting our Flat hunt done effortlessly.
We would definitely recommend BCNStart again and thank BCNstart for helping us getting started in Barcelona!
I moved to Barcelona in the end of September 2017 with two of my friends to study. We hadn’t found an apartment to rent when we arrived. After three days of searching for an apartment Pascal from bcnstart showed us an apartment that we immediately wanted to rent. The only problem was that we didn’t have a bank account in Spain and the banks in my country are closed during weekends and it was a Saturday. However, we we’re allowed to stay in the apartment over the weekend and pay the fees the next Monday. Pascal put a lot of trust in us and we will forever be grateful for his trust to allow us to be able to rent the apartment that we happily live in now. My friends and I all recommend bcnstart because they are personal, helpful and reliable.
Choosing a real estate agency to represent me in the sale of my apartment was a big decision for me. After many years of repayments and renovations, I needed to realise the best return on the investment I had made in order to enable my next move. PiedraClave listened to my needs and advised me on how best to prepare a full dossier of information so that we were able to respond quickly and transparently to the interest we received in the property. I felt that they did a great job of presenting the key selling points of the property and were able to move the process along to successful outcome in a calm and confident way which I think the buyers also appreciated.
We would recommend PiedraClave to anyone seeking reliable an honest report on their property, good advice and market knowledge. The communication has been excellent, and we are very happy with the service provided for our property in Eixample. Thank you!
I wanted to move to Spain to oversee our new European operations. I did a lot of research online about moving and buying here myself and even done a 2 week vacation visit here to look for apartments etc but my, what a minefield! I got a personal referral from a friend to contact PiedraClave and from the introduction email right through signing escritura of my apartment, I experienced a truly white glove treatment. They looked after everything and their communication was outstanding. A big RECOMMEND from me!
When I first moved to Barcelona, the apartment hunt was overwhelming and I spent a lot of my time searching for flats and setting up viewings. Often, I would be disappointed as the photos didn’t give an accurate sense of the house, or I couldn’t agree with the terms of the owner. After contacting PiedraClave, they set me up with an apartment that fit my needs perfectly and helped me through the process from start to finish. PiedraClave made my experience a whole lot easier, and I’m glad I decided to go through them.
My wife and I were planning our digital nomad do-it-now-or-never move to Barcelona from NYC and we had most of the pieces in place except for a little thing called housing. And to be honest, it essentially was impossible – we had been in touch with dozens of different agents and brokers over the course of three weeks. Most wouldn’t communicate in English and Google translate, much beloved for many things, wasn’t cutting it in this scenario. Others would try to dangle a carrot in front of us in hopes of securing a hefty non-refundable deposit while simultaneously showing their units to hoardes of people. It seemed bleak. That is, until we stumbled across the gents at PiedraClave, who really stepped up and delivered on getting us our best start in Barcelona.
